I have crocus blooming, daffodils and bearded iris sprouting in my yard. Will they retain enough energy to grow next spring when they are supposed to? Will I need to feed them extra at some point? When?
Your bulbs are fine. We have had such a mild fall that they think it is spring! In most cases they will stop growth once the cold hits. The winter rains will nourish the roots and the bulbs will pull what they need from the soil. They will continue to grow when it warms up again - sometimes as early as February.
