This group is made up of organizations, agencies and schools that provide natural resource education in our community for K-12. The group meets 3-4 times a year for networking, community projects, and continuing education.

Join us for special guest speaker:

Mercedes Jones

Mercedes Jones is a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, descending from the Umpqua people.  Mercedes has served as the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Curriculum  Specialist since 2014. She has and is developing culturally relevant and historically accurate native based curriculum and facilitating professional development trainings for educators. She has  launched a successful Indian Education Summit that gives all educators the opportunity to learn directly from the tribes. Mercedes serves as an advisory member on the Oregon Department of Education American Indian/Alaska Native Advisory Committee, and also participates in the Oregon’s statewide American Indian/Alaska Native Educational Professional Learning Community.

You are welcome to bring your lunch. We will have tea and coffee available.
