Join us for a day of exploration, learning, and celebration of fungal diversity at Oregon State University’s McDonald-Dunn Research Forest! This community festival is hosted by OSU Extension Forestry and Natural Resources and the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology.
We will offer interactive sessions on mushroom identification skills, hands-on learning about field mycology, and opportunities to practice fungal diversity monitoring and photography.
Whether you’re new to the world of fungi or a seasoned mycologist, we welcome you to connect with fellow enthusiasts and to learn from OSU students, researchers, and professors.
Speakers and instructors include:
- Dr. Jessie Uehling, OSC fungal herbarium curator and Associate Professor in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at OSU
- Dr. Amy Honan, Professor and Mycologist in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at OSU
- Lorelle Sherman, OSU Extension Forestry and Natural Resources
- Mark Swanson, Interim Director of the OSU Research Forests and Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Engineering, Resources & Management
- Noah Siegel, author of “Mushrooms of Cascadia", and expert mushroom photographer
