Join us for an immersive day of native flowers, bees, and more as we tour a recently converted pasture turned 1-acre wildflower and pollinator meadow at the Bugni Forest & Tree Farm. This multi-year conversion has introduced dozens of native grasses, wildflowers, shrubs and trees. Bring a lunch and a chair for a day of outdoor learning!
- Hear from a woodland owner with firsthand experience building a pollinator meadow in a forest setting adjacent to a riparian area
- Soak in meadow views and learn about wildflower ID and plant selection
- Discover the connections between meadow, forest, and stream habitats for supporting wildlife from insects to birds, elk and amphibians
- Dive into the fascinating world of Oregon’s native bees and other forest pollinators, including an up-close view of bee specimens
- Gain insights into promoting and integrating pollinator habitat in your woodland, yard, garden, and other spaces!
The property address (located in Estacada, OR) and driving instructions will be sent to all registered participants the week before the program. This event will be fully outdoors and will involve standing and walking on potentially uneven (forest) terrain.
