Enjoy learning about canning apples several ways with Oregon State University Extension Master Food Preservers on Wednesday, October 16 in Redmond. The hands-on workshop will be 9:00 am to noon. We will make canned apple wedges, apple butter and applesauce with some sugar and spice options that you can take home. Explore equipment including boiling water canners, steam canners and steam juicers, as well as supplies and tips for making best quality and safe apple products for your pantry. The cost of the workshop is $20.00 per person. Register by Monday, October 14, 5:00 pm. The class size is limited.

We will be working in small groups. Minimal COVID safety protocols will be observed so masking is allowed (bring a mask if you want to use one) and we will be washing our hands upon entry.

Cancellations (emailed) by Friday, October 11, 5:00 pm can get a refund. Send requests to [email protected]. No refunds after 5:00 pm on October 11.

If you have questions or want to register in person, please contact [email protected] or call OSU Extension at 541-548-6088, option 4.
