University of Idaho and Oregon State University Extension offer Preserve @ Home-Oregon to teach adults how to safely preserve a variety of food products. Participants learn how to produce high quality preserved foods and the science behind food preservation and food safety.

Any adults with an interest in food preservation and food safety can enroll in Preserve @ Home. Individuals with little or no previous food preservation experience are welcome.

Students can progress through weekly lessons at their own pace or at a time convenient to them. The first lesson will be released on January 20 for viewing and interaction. An online chat session will be held each Thursday at 1:00 pm, Pacific time, beginning on January 27.
