Stress Less with Mindfulness Mini-Session
Are you feeling stressed? Give your brain a rest by learning and practicing several mindful actions. Brain science shows improved sleep and well-being are just some of the benefits. Adults and youth are welcome.
The session will be taught by Glenda Hyde, Oregon State University Extension Service community educator on Wednesday, September 11, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The session will be held at the new OSU Extension/Deschutes County office, Building 3 and conclude in the OSU Extension Demonstration Gardens at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond, Parking Lot J.
During the classes, participants will increase flexibility in responding to stress, learn about alternative ways of relating to everyday life experiences and practice mindfulness self-care skills. Participants can reduce stress-related symptoms such as worry, depression and physical tension resulting in better quality sleep and improved work/school-life balance.
