Learn how to identify, harvest, and use native forest materials to make beautiful wreaths! At this festive forest workshop, you will design and construct your very own wreath to take home with you, just in time for the holidays.

Some greenery will be provided; however, we encourage you to forage in your yard and property for any clippings from plants that you like! Anything from our trusty native Douglas-fir, to classic holly, to sword fern – variety makes wreaths interesting and fun! Refer to this publication, Evergreen Boughs: A Brief Introduction to Harvesting and Marketing from Small Private Forestlands in the Pacific Northwest, for information on how to properly harvest evergreen boughs.

In addition to some greenery – wreath bases, floral wire, decorative ribbon, and clippers will be provided. However, please feel free to bring your favorite clippers or special decorations with you for your use.

This class is held outdoors in a covered pavilion. Please dress in warm layers. We'll have a roaring fire and hot cider to keep you toasty!

** Registration closes December 9th at 11:59 p.m.
