Live Contest Information

2025 Foods Contest

Overview

All enrolled and active 4-H members are eligible to enter. It is a fun and engaging opportunity to broaden your cooking and baking skills by preparing a meal or food item during the contest and presenting it to a judge with unique table setting, poster, and menu! Youth will also have an opportunity practice judging food items and a table setting display. Please refer to the Rules and the Tip Sheet below for all contest details!

2025 Presentation Contest

Overview

The contest is open to all ages: 5 to 19. Cloverbuds, ages 5-8, can present, but not for competition. Members ages 9-19, may give a presentation for participation OR competition. Categories for registration include demonstrations, illustrated talks, public speeches, impromptu speeches, the performing arts, and the senior interview competition.

This contest is a great way to break into the world of digital media, broadcast journalism and public speaking. If you are participating in the Spring Classic, we encourage you to get some feedback from this contest before competing at the state level. Classes and Rules:

Classes include: Demonstrations & Illustrated Talks, Public Speech, Impromptu Speech, Performing Arts, Interview (county only class). There are individual, team, and Celebrate our World categories. This year's country of celebration is Finland!

While there are many types of presentations, 4-H materials concentrate on these four: demonstrations, illustrated talks, public speeches, and impromptu speeches. Overview

Get excited for this year's fashion revue!

Judging: Begins at 8:30am followed by live show.

Please register through ShoWorks when Summer Fair registrations opens! Registration will open June 3 and close June 10.

4-H Fashion Revue Activity Guide (in English)

Fashion Revue is a 4-H activity designed to support the clothing, knitting, and crocheting projects. This publication describes some of the modeling positions, turns, and poses members may want to use when participating in Fashion Revue.

Fair Book - Fashion Revue Challenge (in English)

The 2020 Fashion Revue Challenge is: Clothing Inspired by your Favorite Book or Author. The Fashion Revue Challenge is open to any Intermediate and Senior level 4-H members. Members must be selected by a county determined process. Participants must pre-register through Ideal Logic for a judging time slot. Judging criteria for the challenge includes creativity and innovation, appropriate amounts and level of sewing, and the intent (heart and soul) of the challenge was met. In addition to the specifics of the challenge, other areas being evaluated includes the modeling techniques, the fit of the outfit and communication skills.

Fair Book - Fashion Revue Ready to Wear (in English)

Fashion Revue – Ready to Wear is open to any 4-H member. Members must be selected by a county determined process. Participants must pre-register for a judging time slot.This contest has been redesigned to focus on wardrobe planning, choosing clothing that looks great on the member’s body type and coloring, and choosing clothing that projects their personality and lifestyle.
