Are you a farmer or rural land steward? Are you working far from immediate medical help? Then this training is for you!
This is a chance to receive training by our local Linn County Emergency Management Team on Stop the Bleed.
Stop the Bleed teaches bystanders how to control severe, life-threatening bleeding in emergency situations until professional help arrives. The training empowers individuals to act as immediate responders by teaching them to recognize serious bleeding and apply three main techniques: applying direct pressure, packing a wound, and applying a tourniquet.
Participants will go home with a started Stop the Bleed Kit!
*Note: There will be viewing of videos that contain blood and potentially simulated wounds in this hands-on training.
