Food Safety & Preservation Hotline Open for the Season
OSU Extension Food Safety and Preservation hotline is now open! The toll-free hotline at 800-354-7319 is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday - Friday through October 7, 2022. Callers can leave a message if they call after hours and a volunteer will get back to you. The hotline is staffed by certified Master Food Preserver volunteers in Lane and Douglas counties, but is available statewide.
The hotline provides callers with research based responses to their food preservation and food safety questions. Our volunteers also have information on where you can take your pressure gauge for testing.
