Pears

Oregon ranks third for pears grown in the U.S. with 25% of the total grown. Bartlett, Comice and d'Anjou are the main cultivars grown in the state. There are 11,300 acres of pears grown in the Mid-Columbia region and 5,800 acres grown in southern Oregon near Medford. In 2012, the estimated value of the pear crop was $133 million.
