In rural communities, it’s especially difficult to connect underserved youth to a career pathway in STEM fields. At the same time, there is a deficit of workers in those occupations.

4-H Youth Development, an OSU Extension program, and community partners annually bring students together with professionals for an annual Aviation Field Day. Also, two day-camps provide sixth graders an in-depth look at the aviation industry and an opportunity to engage in STEM subjects while doing something they enjoy.
