Oregon Cranberry Harvest (in English)

Cranberries may be Oregon's most misunderstood crop. A lot of people think the fire engine red berries grow submerged in coldwater bogs. Fact is the tart fruit grows in dry, sandy beds that typically are flooded at harvest. It takes special hardware to float the fruit off the vines and deliver it to waiting trucks.
