OSU Extension in Josephine County: 4-H Bridges Generations (in English)

Transcript

My role in Extension is the 4-H Program Coordinator. My role as a 4-H Program Coordinator is not only the club-based program, but also teaching and helping run the association. And so it's got a lot of moving pieces. Extension means to me community support. And so what does that mean for the community? It means that we as an Extension, reach out to various community partners. We help facilitate things. We can put on classes, workshops, we build partnerships. That's what a community is. And that's what Extension helps. It's always so much fun working with the kids and interacting with them. My second favorite part would be interacting with the volunteers, because they get excited about things, too. And so when you can kind of find that bridge between that child's excitement and then the adult excitement, I think that's where the magic really happens. I really do think that the 4-H program is going in a really good direction right now.

Experience the vibrant community engagement spearheaded by Lisa Parlette, our dedicated 4-H Program Coordinator at the Josephine County Extension Service. Dive into a world where education, community support, and excitement intertwine, creating a dynamic environment for both kids and volunteers alike.
