You are invited to join the Union County Winter Carrot Project

Grow your own patch of carrots to harvest December through February! Participation is free.

The Union County Master Gardeners program will provide seeds, instructions, and support. You will provide garden space, carrot planting and tending, and some data from your experience that will help us better understand winter vegetable gardening in our region.

The best part: you get to keep all the carrots!

How to join the study:

  1. Find the full instruction packet and read through the process & study requirements.
  2. If your garden and your schedule are a good fit, sign up to be a participant!
  3. Carrot seeds and data collection forms will go out in mid-July to all registered participants.

The last day to register is July 23, 2024.

Paper copies of the instructions are also available at the Extension office: 10507 N McAlister Rd in La Grande.
