4-H Mini Grant
The 4-H Mini Grants are an opportunity for 4-H members, with the support of a 4-H Leader/Volunteer to request funds to support a project or to purchase equipment to enhance the Lake County 4-H Program. Grants will generally be awarded to support projects and purchases for less than $500.
The 4-H Mini Grant application cover sheet, provided budget form and narrative are due to the OSU Lake County Extension Office by March 15 or July 15.
Special Events Scholarships
Jama Harms Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship to help Lake County 4-H youth with college related expenses was established in memorial of Jama Harms, a Lake County 4-H member who unexpectedly passed away in 1995.
Jama Harms was a dedicated 4-H member of the Goose Lake Livestock and Dog 4-H clubs. She enjoyed raising market lambs and had a passion for training guide dogs. To date, the Jama Harms Memorial Scholarship has helped over 70 Lake County 4-H youth.
Donations can be made at the Lake County 4-H and FFA Market Sale during the Lake County Fair or by calling the OSU Lake County Extension Office at 541-947-6054.
Each year at the Lake County Fair, the first lamb at the auction is donated by either a 4-H club, 4-H member or individual. Those proceeds go to the Jama Harms Memorial Scholarship Fund.
