This includes arborists, city foresters and park staff, landscapers, utility workers, campground staff, Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists, birders, and anyone else who "is in the trees"!

The Zoom live training will cover OFPD basics:

  • Invasives overview;
  • Training spotlight: the emerald ash borer;
  • Potential threats on the horizon: the eastern five-spined Ips beetle; and
  • How to report an issue in Oregon

Want to test your knowledge and see actual emerald ash borer damage?
ODF/OSU Extension has set up an optional in-person outdoor demo and field course on the campus of Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario. There are two options for this training: Tuesday, April 27, 1:00 - 4:00 P.M. (MDT) or Wednesday, April 28, 7:00 - 10:00 A.M. (MDT)

COVID-19 policy: OSU Extension and the state require adults to wear a face covering in enclosed public and common areas and when interacting with others, and in outdoor areas where physical distancing is not easily maintained, unless they meet an exception in the policy.
