Glenn, Amanda, and Jean are still working hard to continue the delivery of forestry education through these difficult times. We are still delivering programs virtually, and we had our first field class in March (reforestation). Here are a few programs to look out for this spring (2021)!
Don't forget to check-in for more programs as they become available.

Fire Aware. Fire Prepared.
Have you prepared for the upcoming wildfire season? Last summer’s wildfire events impacted most Oregonians and we learned that EVERYONE living in Oregon should be prepared for a wildfire emergency. Every community is different though, and it can be difficult to navigate all of the resources.
The Fire Aware. Fire Prepared. program was developed to help Oregonians prepare for the reality of wildfire. This series of webinar sessions and online local meetings will address preparedness at three levels:
Fire Preparedness in My Area
As part of the Fire aware. Fire prepared. program, we are working with partners to host a series of LOCAL online sessions that complement the program. These local sessions will offer details about fire and emergency response specific to your own county or area. You will be given opportunities to ask questions about how to begin putting the things you are learning from the Fire aware. Fire prepared. program into action.
More information will be available soon. We are planning local sessions for the North Willamette Valley and Columbia Gorge area.
Dates and times for each webinar will be available shortly. For updates, follow our Willamette Valley Forestry & Natural Resources Extension Facebook page and subscribe to our newsletter. If you need further assistance, email Glenn or Amanda.
