I have a small orchard, is it too soon to prune?

A:

Pruning fruit trees can be done from leaf fall; usually around November 1st until pre- pink or around March 15. Any time the trees are dormant or leaves fall, they can be pruned safely.

Depending on the year, prune before bloom.
