Please join us to welcome Jacob Putney, OSU Extension Forester for Grant & Baker Counties
Jacob received his M.S. degree in Forest Biometrics, minor in Statistics and his B.S. in Forest Management, minor in Business from Oregon State University.
Jacob will be responsible for planning, developing, delivering and evaluating a wide variety of non-formal (off campus) Forestry and Natural Resources related educational programs for primarily adult audiences in Baker and Grant Counties. His typical focus audiences include woodland owners, homeowners in the wildland urban interface, professional natural resource managers such as foresters and forest workers, collaborative conservation groups and watershed councils, policymakers, forest products firms, tribes, youth and economic development officials.
His focus areas include forest health, silviculture, private forest land management, reforestation, invasive species, wildfire, biomass and bioenergy, water resources, forest productivity, forest restoration, collaborative conservation and outdoor recreation.
