2019 Winter Food Preservation Classes - Lane County

Making Your Own Pasta and Sauces ~  Saturday, January 26; 
10am—2pm.
 
If you have ever wanted to learn how to make your own pasta you will want to join the Master Food Preservers for this hands-on class. Learn to make spaghetti, penne, ravioli, tortellini, and egg noodles. A variety of red and white sauces will also be demonstrated as well as making your own gluten free pasta.  The workshop includes lots of hands-on leaning as well as lunch.  CLASS FULL- REGISTRATION CLOSED!!

Evening of Irish Cooking ~  Thursday February 21; 5—8pm. 
If you have ever wanted to learn how to cure your own corned beef, make Irish Soda Bread, Irish Colcannon Creamy Potatoes and Cabbage and more, then you will want to join the Master Food Preservers for a fun, hands-on Irish cooking extravaganza.  Cost includes an authentic Irish St. Patrick’s Day meal.

Use it Up, Stock it Up, Be Prepared! ~ Saturday, March 2: 10 AM - 2 PM
Spring is just around the corner and it is time to inventory the foods you have
on hand in your pantry and freezer. Lean tips and tricks on using what you
have so you will have room for the new seasonal foods and avoid waste. A
well-stocked pantry is like an over-sized toolbox of your recipes. The workshop
will also include tips on planning your emergency food supply so you
will be prepared. Lots of sampling and hands-on activities.
