Topic: Mineral Nutrition and Mineral Status in Cattle

Dr. Juliana Ranches, OSU Extension Beef Specialist, and a representative from Purina Animal Nutrition will come present information on minerals important to livestock, minerals in feeds, mineral supplements, and mineral status of Oregon’s beef herd. Dr. Ranches will also be sharing information on a Mineral Survey for Oregon’s beef producers that includes the possibility of your ranch being chosen for a custom evaluation.

  • Second Monday of each month (September-May), 6:30 – 8:00 AM
  • Elmer’s Restaurant at Gateway in Springfield. Meet in the bar area of the restaurant where there is ample room for social distancing.
  • Please arrive promptly to get your breakfast ordered so the presentation can get started.

Our speakers vary from month to month, but we always talk livestock and forages. We learn and share about animal nutrition, management, health, and marketing, along with novel and routine forages, fertilizing, grazing, haying, weed control, and more.
