Learn the steps to grow natives for your own yard! The class will cover the legal responsibilities of gathering native plants/seeds, as well as the art/science behind the easy 3-4 step process. Come learn the steps and grow natives for your own yard. Resources will be available to help you research the different techniques and seasons that are best suitable for the different types of vegetation. Propagation technique used in this workshops will be from cuttings.

About the presenter:
Shirley Betournay is a retired educator with 37 years of service, and after retiring, became a Master Gardener in 2012. Shirley serves on many leadership committees within the Lane County Master Gardener Association. Specialist and leadership duties include, Plant Clinic, Adaptive/Inclusive Gardening, Plant Diagnostics, Compost- Vermi-Composting, Native Pollinators, and Plant Propagation Instructor. In her garden, she enjoys propagating plants for the yearly Plant Sale, as well as tend her 365-day pollinator/vegetable garden.
