Take control of unwanted vegetation with confidence! This hands-on workshop will teach you the essential skills for safe and effective herbicide application in forestry and land management.

In this class, you'll:

  • Learn how to calibrate a backpack sprayer for accurate and efficient application.
  • Explore different herbicide application methods and when to use them.
  • Develop strategies for targeting invasive or competing vegetation while protecting desired plants.
  • Understand best practices for record-keeping to stay compliant and track effectiveness.
  • Practice application techniques using water and dye for a risk-free, real-world experience.

By the end of this workshop, you'll be ready to apply herbicides with precision and purpose. Come prepared for outdoor work! All necessary tools and materials will be provided.

This class has been approved for 2 ODA pesticide CORE credits.
