Take the Fear Out of Canning (Water Bath and Pressure Canning)
This will be a hands-on class where you will learn the difference between high- and low-acid foods and which type of canner is needed to safely process your foods at home. You will have an opportunity to learn to can your own jar of fruit using a boiling water canner or steam canner. You will also learn what foods need to be processed in a pressure canner and the difference between dial-gauge and weighted-gauge canners. Hands on vegetable canning will be included.
