Living on the Land is a workshop series tailored for small acreage landowners and those new to managing land. There are five classes in the series. This program is sponsored by the OSU Extension Service in Lincoln and Tillamook County.
September 25 – Land Stewardship Planning & Soils

October 2 – Water Rights & Wells
Nikki Hendricks, Watermaster District 1 and Chrissy Lucas, Well Water Specialist with OSU Extension
> Learn about water rights, well maintenance and bring well water for nitrate screening.
October 9 – Pasture, Manure & Mud Management
Troy Downing, Dairy/Agriculture Faculty with OSU Extension
> Learn how grass plants grow, rotational grazing, and nutrient management. Also learn how to manage mud and manure on your property.
October 16 – Small Livestock & Weed Management
Sarah & Randy Walker, Walker Farms and Pami Monnette, Agriculture Faculty with OSU Extension
> Learn about what to consider when raising small livestock and about management strategies for common weeds on your land.
October 23 – Riparian & Woodland Management

> Learn about the woodlands and natural areas on your property and consider options to enhance and manage for healthy trees and wildlife habitat.
