The Oregon State University Extension Service in Lincoln County and the Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District welcome coastal farmers to a workshop on Soil Test Interpretation for Small Farms on May 20, 2025.

Conducting a soil test is an important part of developing a nutrient management plan for a farm. Soil test results allow farmers to learn more about what nutrients are present and available in their soil, and therefore, how they may need to amend their soils to maximize the quality and productivity of their crops.

As part of this workshop, the Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District is paying for one free soil sample for each workshop participant. Please drop your samples off at 914 SW Coast Hwy, Newport, OR, any time M-F from 9AM-5PM. At the workshop, participants will work with local experts to review their soil test results and develop a nutrient management plan for their farms.

Watch an informational video.

Registration is required by April 24, 2025.
