2020 Master Gardener Program Training - Jackson County

Are you interested in becoming a volunteer community educator, plus gaining in-depth home horticulture skills and knowledge?  Become an OSU Master Gardener™ Volunteer!  This 16-week program, with 11 weeks of classes, develops knowledge and skills in botany, horticulture, vegetable cultivation, soil science, insect and plant management, and much more.  In exchange for classroom instruction, Master Gardener volunteers agree to help local Extension faculty and staff extend horticultural information to the general public as community educators.  Class size limited to 50 participants; registration open until January 8, 2020. 

When: Wednesdays, 9 am – 3:30 pm Jan 22 to Apr 1, 2020. Weekly, three-hour Practicum sessions are held Jan 30 to May 9, 2020  

Where: Southern Oregon Research and Extension Center, 569 Hanley Rd, Central Point, OR 97502

Tuition is $300 (includes the 500-page manual).  Payment plans available.
