This community class will take a quick look into the basic techniques and suggestions to set up a successful container garden. Selection/placement/maintenance, soil choices, and suggested ornamentals/edible cultivars will be discussed. Additional information will help you plan and implement a 365 day garden.
Educational resources and handouts will also be shared.
Presenters:
Shirley Betournay has been a Lane County Master Gardener since 2012 and serves on numerous specialist committees, including Adaptive Gardening, Compost, and Plant Diagnostics. She maintains a full container garden, and enjoys fresh produce 365 days a year.
Robyn Baer is a Master Gardener trainee for 2022. She is specializing in adaptive gardening and plant diagnostics. As a military veteran who travelled frequently, she is well acquainted with small space gardening and garden design with containers
