Master Gardener training is for residents of all skill levels who want to expand the depth and breadth of their gardening knowledge and experience. This is accomplished through a series of online learning modules, in-person workshops, and virtual Question & Answer sessions with real experts.

To achieve certification and earn the title of Master Gardener, you must complete the training and fulfill 40 hours of volunteer service on behalf of the Umatilla County Master Gardeners by October 31, 2022. Doing so will also earn you a $50 rebate on this class, payable upon proof of completion. Scholarship and sponsorship rates are available as well (see registration for details).

There are numerous opportunities to volunteer throughout the year, which will be communicated to all interested trainees. These include plant sales, community garden work, tables at farmers' markets, educational programs, and more. Help spread your love of gardening with science-backed principles.
