Nature journaling is the practice of drawing and writing in response to observations of nature. Enjoy a “conversation with nature” by slowing down to focus on drawing from observation and recording your experience in a nature journal. Using pencils and/or pens and markers, quiet your mind and relax into the present moment by following guided exercises based on the viewing of an item from nature brought to the class session by the instructor, Elizabeth Higgins, via Zoom. These sessions will help participants build a toolbox of ways in which they can continue reflecting nature and expressing themselves in their own personal journals once class ends. All levels are welcome, as new tips and techniques will be introduced each week. Supplies needed: writing tool (pencil, pen or fine tip marker); a journal or drawing paper. Watercolors, colored pencils and other paints are optional.
