March 14: Introduction to the Willamette Valley Ecoregion Course
March 14: Oak Savanna, Woodlands, and Prairie in the Willamette Valley
March 20: Human History in the Willamette Valley Ecoregion
April 11: Geology and Earth Processes of the Willamette Valley
April 25: Sustainable Land use on Agricultural and Forested Lands at the Rural/Urban Interface
May 2: Rivers, Riparian Areas, and Floodplains in the Willamette Valley
May 9: Urban and Urbanizing Landscapes in the Willamette Valley
May 15: Wildlife Tracking in the Willamette Valley
May 30: The Future of Willamette Valley & Course Wrap-up
An application will be required for anyone wishing to be considered as a participant in the course. The organizers of this course are giving priority to those who live in the Willamette Valley, particularly those in Washington, Multnomah and Clackamas Counties, those who have waited longest to get into an Ecoregion field course, and those willing to give back part of their time to volunteer for a selection of local partner organizations. All are welcome to apply.
