Originally from the Seattle area, Jamie now considers Southern Oregon home. She has completed both the Land Steward and Oregon Master Naturalist Programs, and she has a passion for native plants, with a special focus on medicinal uses. Jamie holds a Bachelor's Degree from The Evergreen State College, as well as certificates from The Arctos School of Botanical Medicine, The Columbines School of Botanical Studies, and the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism. In 2013, Jamie founded The Oakland Free Clinic, a free, mobile herbal clinic in Oakland, California. Jamie is also a founding member of Rogue Harm Reduction, a non-profit health collective in Williams, Oregon. She believes strongly in the Land Steward Program's mission to promote responsible natural resource management, social justice, and community education. Jamie currently stewards land in the Williams area.
