Have you been thinking about how you want take care of your property? Interested in formulating a written management plan for your property? Join OSU’s Land Stewards Field Training. This multi-disciplinary course provides training on topics including wildfire risk reduction, woodland and forest management, wildlife habitat, stream ecology, pasture management, soils and organic waste, small acreage systems and infrastructure, rural economics, stewardship planning, and resources and regulations. Participants learn in the field, see stewardship projects in action, connect with natural resource professionals, assess their land, create goals, and build a stewardship management plan for their land. The 11-week training includes eight field tours, many books and resources, and an optional mentor visit.
This training is intended for anyone interested in living on rural land. It’s suitable for both new and long-term landowners, and people considering owning land.
