Lawns and small, unused pastures present a great opportunity to provide high-quality habitat to the many pollinating insects and birds that are currently threatened by habitat loss. In this class, you will learn to convert a lawn or small pasture to pollinator habitat. We will cover eliminating current vegetation, preparing the site, plant selection, and seeding/planting native species. We will also highlight local partnerships that are making it easier to access the necessary plants and seeds to create pollinator habitat in our region and will give you the tools to make your own pollinator meadow. The registration deadline is Sept. 9, 2020
