Discover the roles beetles play in pest management, sanitation, weed control, and pollination. We’ll discuss how to provide beetle habitat while increasing crop yields and reducing costs.
Beetle banks are used to reduce or replace the use of insecticides and can also serve as habitat for ground-nesting birds, small mammals, and other beneficial arthropods, such as lacewings and pollinators. By eliminating the cost of pesticides and, in some cases, increasing crop yields, adding biodiversity provides both economic and ecological benefits.
