EEAC Keynote: Virtual Extension for a New Crop - The Oregon Hemp Growers Forum

In this keynote address, Dr. Gordon Jones, assistant professor of practice in agriculture, discusses the Oregon Hemp Growers Forum - a Virtual Extension program he created to provide hemp growers with education and resources. In the talk, he covers the economic and environmental impacts of hemp production, the difference between hemp and marijuana, and the potential for hemp to be a sustainable crop. Dr. Jones also highlights the success of the Forum, with more than 350 attendees from 19 states and 6 countries.
