James Sterns, Applied Economist

James Sterns is an applied economist in Oregon State University’s Department of Applied Economics. He is working in the fields of agribusiness economics and management, agricultural marketing, and institutional economics. He is a core researcher with the Oregon Wine Research Institute. He is currently studying wine clubs in Oregon and why people join them, which ones they join, how long they stay, what their buying habits are, how their wine club membership fits in with their other wine-consuming behavior.
