Choosing a 4-H Club

4-H is a family program, which includes guardians, grandparents, aunts/uncles, and friends. 4-H clubs are organized by a volunteer leader and meet usually once a month for 7 months out of the year.

We have over 60 clubs and dozens of project areas where you can learn anything from raising rabbits to cake decorating!

Things to consider when choosing a club include location, projects supported, and day and time of meetings. Once you find a club you like, contact the club leader to let them know you're interested. They can tell you more and help you decide if it's the right club for your family.

Join us for Summer Camp!

You don't need to be a club member to join us for overnight camps or day camps offered over spring break or throughout the summer.

Start a Club or Teach a Workshop

4-H is a family program—you can get your whole community involved! You don't need to be a parent or an experienced volunteer to help make 4-H a success.

If you're over 19 and no longer in high school, you can change a life by volunteering as a club leader or skill teacher in 4-H. Depending on your availability, you could mentor kids all year as a club leader, or teach a one-off workshop in a project that you love (like making costumes, 3D printing, or waffle making).

New clubs need at least 5 members from 3 families plus 2 adult volunteers. Reach out to our office to learn more about chartering a 4-H Club this year!
