Member Enrollment
Joining 4-H is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
The 2024-2025 4-H Year will begin on October 1, 2024. If you already have a club and/or have spoken to 4-H staff or a club leader about enrolling, you can enroll using the buttons below.
Step 1: Find Your Spark and Choose a Club!
4-H Supports over 130 project areas, with everything from animal science to archery. Not every project is available locally—it depends on local volunteer availability and expertise.
Look through our local club directory and see if there's a project area that interests you in a nearby club. If you can't find what you're looking for, contact our Jackson County 4-H office and we can help connect you to clubs that may be willing to branch out. Or.... maybe there are other kids looking for the same project in your area! Sometimes we can connect you with other interested kids so you can start a new club.
Check out our club directory. To make sure the club is able to accept new members, contact the volunteer listed in the directory.
Step 2: Enroll Online
4HOnline is our online enrollment platform. It's not perfect, but it is the easiest and quickest way to fill out all of the required documents to get going in 4-H!
If you are new to 4-H, do not enroll online until you have confirmed with a club that you are joining and that they have space for you. Please visit our "Get Involved" page which explains how to choose a club.
NOTE: If you are not 9 years old on September 1, you will need to join as a Cloverbud (ages 5-8). Not all clubs are able to support Cloverbuds, but we do try to find you a good fit. Cloverbuds participate in age-appropriate ways, without interacting with large animals or competitive contests.
If you are returning to 4-H, use your 4HOnline email and password from last year. Please do not create a new account if you forgot your password or login ID! It causes issues in our records and you will get duplicates of all our communications. If you forgot your email, ID, or password, please use the "Forgot Password" button or contact our office for help.
To complete your enrollment, click "Pay By Check" and check out even if you do not intend to pay by check. 4-H Online does not offer a secure online checkout, but OSU does.
The only way to complete your online enrollment is to click "pay by check"—even if you intend to pay with cash or a card.
Step 3: Pay your annual fee online or in our office
After enrolling through 4HOnline and checking out (by choosing "pay by check"), you have several options to pay your annual fees. There is a state fee and a county fee that we collect together. These fees are very low for a year of diverse and active program access, and they help us provide great camps, leadership experiences, workshops, training and expertise to our clubs, members, and volunteers!
- OPTION 1: Pay online via credit or debit card (use the button below)
- OPTION 2: Pay in our office via cash or check. You can mail a check to Jackson County Extension, 569 Hanley Road, Central Point, OR 97502 (C/O 4-H Youth Development).
- You must enroll in 4-H Online before sending in your fees, otherwise we won't know whose account to apply your payment to!
- Please make sure to print the youths' full name on the check or with the cash payment.
- OPTION 3: Call your club leader to find out how your club handles enrollment fees. Some clubs pay member enrollment fees out of the club treasury.
Fee Deadlines
- Returning Leader Enrollment Deadline is December 31
- The Enrollment Deadline with discount is January 31
- Fair Participation Enrollment Deadline is March 15
- The fair participation deadline includes fee payment.
- If you miss this deadline, a variance form must be completed. Not all requests are approved, so please don't wait until the last minute!
