Volunteers

Interested in volunteering? We are always searching for adults who want to share their time and talents with our members! New volunteers receive a comprehensive orientation and training specific to their role. No prior knowledge or experience is required. You can work with children or adults, serve on the Jackson County 4-H Association, start a new club, teach project classes, organize an event, or help the general 4-H program. There are short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities available. Discover how you can become involved and make a difference for the youth in your community!

New Volunteers

New Volunteer Interest Form (in English): The first step to getting involved with 4-H for any adults who want to volunteer is to fill out this form! Once you fill it out, we'll get back to you shortly.
New Volunteer Instructions (in English): This welcome letter outlines step-by-step instructions for new volunteers to begin their journey with 4-H!
New Volunteer Application Form (in English): This form must be fully filled out by all prospective volunteers and submitted as soon as possible to get the process started.

Enrollment

Returning Volunteer Enrollment Site (in English): This is where volunteers must complete their enrollment each year between October 1st-December 31st. New or prospective volunteers should not enroll here until instructed by 4-H staff.
Online Annual Club Registration Form (highly preferred) (in English): Used by main leader to re-register the club for the upcoming 4-H year. Due to the Extension office September 1.
Annual Club Registration Form (in English): Paper form. Used by main leader to re-register the club for the upcoming 4-H year. Due to the Extension office September 1. The other, online version is preferred.
Superintendent Application (in English): Use this form to apply to be a project area superintendent for 4-H.
Club Enrollment Fee Worksheet (in English): For clubs which pay their member's enrollment fees out of the club treasury. Leaders should take this form with payment to the Extension Office.
Financial Assistance Request Form (in English): The Jackson County 4-H Association is committed to having no financial barriers between youth and the 4-H Youth Development Program. This application is for members needing financial assistance for enrollment or other 4-H activities.
Jackson County 4-H Enrollment Policies (in English): This is the policy document for all Jackson County 4-H Enrollment.

Club Finances

Club Annual Financial Statement (in English): Club Annual Financial Statement. Please have completed form in to the office by September 15.
Club Materials and Equipment Inventory (in English): Please have completed form to the Extension office by September 15.
Club Financial Peer Review Form (in English): This form should be completed each year and filed with the club/unit copy of the annual financial summary. The Peer Review Committee may set up a timetable for any corrections that need to be made and review the books for compliance on that date.
Club Fundraising Worksheet (in English): This worksheet will help club members organize their fundraiser. This is for club use only.
Club Request to Conduct Fundraising (in English): This form needs to be turned in to 4-H Educator for approval 3 weeks before fundraising event.
Club Payment Approval Reimbursement (in English): Use this form if you made a purchase and need a club reimbursement.
Club Treasurer's Handbook (in English): Supports and gives information on best practices for the club treasurer.
Club Treasury Ledger Template (in English): This template to be used for your club treasurer.
National Fundraising Fact Sheet (in English): This fact sheet from National 4-H outlines policies and best practices for club fundraising.
Donor Thank You and Receipt (in English): This is the form 4-H members and leaders can give to donors as a thank you and for tax records.

Standards of Behavior for Adults (in English): This document outlines the standards of behavior for all adults (employees, volunteers, and parents) working with minors in 4-H.

Jackson County 4-H Ag & Animal Project Funding Request (in English): These funds have been designated for Agriculture related education. These funds are available due to the Grange Co-op Round Up for Ag Program.
Jackson County 4-H Mini-Grant Application (in English): 4-H Mini-grants are a great opportunity to learn how to apply for a scholarship. These funds can help support your 4-H club in buying new equipment or support a new project.
Variance Request Jackson 4-H (in English): Use this form if you are asking 4-H to make an exception to an established rule or deadline; for example, if you missed the 4-H enrollment deadline.
4-H Deadlines (in English): This contains the deadlines for this 4-H program year.

Volunteer Education

4-H Expressive Arts & Fiber Arts Project Leader Workshop (Nov.2021) (in English): Recording of virtual Art & Fiber Arts project workshop. Information and examples of Art and Fiber Arts projects, ideas for meetings and project development as well as how different items 'fit' into the 4-H County and State Fair classes. (01:55)
