South Hill Garden plots

These garden plots are located on private property on the south hill in Pendleton. The home owners donate the water for this garden site. The plots are available to the public for seasonal use for a nominal fee. Contact the Extension office for more information.

Yellowhawk Tribal Garden

Located on the YTHC campus, the YTHC Community Garden has been a source of education and fresh produce for the people of Mission, within the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Since its beginning over a decade ago, the garden has grown, both in size and in educational capacity, and is now an important part of “Good Health and Wellness in Indian Country,” a healthy living initiative sponsored for the CTUIR through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The garden works with members of the Nixyaawii Community School and the YTHC Senior Center to promote garden and healthy foods education, as well as providing fresh produce to those who have need.
