Introducing ExtensionBot

ExtensionBot is a new way to get real-time answers and engage with Extension resources in a simple, natural chat conversation. This is one more way to search on the Extension website. ExtensionBot was developed by the Extension Foundation.

The chatbot uses the power of AI and natural processing language to:

  • Provide links to the original sources of information as part of the conversational flow. You'll know exactly where the answers are coming from.
  • Offer suggested follow-up questions so you can explore related topics.
  • Share your input. The chatbot offers a simple way to provide feedback with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down for each response.

Give it a try!

This is currently only available as a demo for OSU Extension faculty and staff. Check it out before it's available to the public. You can help us refine it while it is still under development to make answers more reliable. To test it out:

1) Open the chatbot:

  • Look at the bottom lower right corner (of this page).
  • Click on the chatbot icon. It looks like this:

2) Ask your question in the message box. It looks like this:
