Wine Grape Production

The wine grape industry of southern Oregon is relatively new – developing over the past three decades. It is increasing in size at a very fast pace. As a new industry, many of the people involved have little or no experience growing wine grapes.

Our educational workshops, newsletters and one-on-one grower contact provide research-based information and training on vineyard development, pest management, precision technology and economics. OSU Extension in southern Oregon addresses the need for good information on general production questions, problems and their solutions.
