Weed control without chemicals? Learn how to use electricity to conquer unwanted plants in blueberry production.
Weeds are a persistent challenge in organic blueberry production. Electrical weed control offers an alternative nonchemical method that delivers high-voltage electricity through the weed’s tissue. Oregon State University researchers recently conducted five on-farm studies to answer common questions about the method, such as what the best application speed is, whether multiple applications help and what the energy cost is to maintain control through the season.
