my name is austin matthews i'm from
camby i think this tractor training
experience it this tractor training
course is a great experience for anyone
learning anything trying to work for
people or just touring something about
tractors i know when i took it i took it
for work purposes and it taught me a lot
about how badly i did stuff and i've
learned from those habits and it's
helped me a lot in sketchy situations
and it's a great course and i think
everyone should take it
hello my name is ellen guerrero i'm from
aurora and when i started this track
training course i was very new to
tractors and i actually haven't ever
driven the manual before so i've learned
a lot from a great instructor derek
wells and i think this is really great
for beginners and anybody who's learning
to learn better habits my name is corey
sheer from cambie oregon and i think
this course is great for anyone
wanting new job experience
and to learn how to safely operate
tractors
and i mean we get free pizza and drinks
so
i also like to point out not only do we
learn how to drive and operate equipment
we also learn how to attach it to the
tractor itself such as
this for instance has a three-point
hookup system that we have here here and
another point back there but usually
some other equipment would also have a
pto
and or might use this hitch
i also want to mention that all the
tractors need some form of maintenance
whether that be pre-checks before you go
do something in the field or just
keeping up on routine like oil changes
and changing hydraulic fluids and stuff
so that could be as simple as washing
the tractor because if you have a dirty
equipment that can cause problems later
in the life of the tractor
causing more wear on your equipment here
we're doing a pre-operational check
making sure the air filter is is clear
making sure the radiator is clear we
don't want to go out to the field have
everything clogged up and overheat on us
so
really good
Youth tractor training at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center has been a popular course.
