Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2025–2026

In accordance with Oregon Local Budget Law (ORS 294), the Curry County 4-H and Extension Service District has prepared its proposed budget for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. The budget reflects a return to full staffing, investment in countywide programming, and a continued commitment to responsible financial stewardship.

Seeking Community Members for Budget Committee Service

The Curry County 4-H and Extension Service District is inviting applications from qualified community members to serve on its Budget Committee. This committee plays a vital role in shaping the financial planning and priorities of our local Extension and 4-H programs.

About the Budget Committee:
In accordance with Oregon's Local Budget Law (ORS 294.305 to 294.565), the Budget Committee comprises the governing body and an equal number of appointed community members. These appointed members must be electors of the district and cannot be officers, agents, or employees of the district. The committee meets 1-2 times per year.

Term Lengths:
Appointed members serve staggered terms of three years to ensure continuity within the committee.

Participation in the Budget Committee offers community members a direct voice in the allocation of resources for Extension and 4-H programs, which are essential for youth development, agriculture, and community education in Curry County.
