This guide is for current OSU Extension Master Gardener volunteers. It explains Oregon State University policies and OSU Master Gardener program guidelines related to volunteering. Your county program coordinator will have more information on how these guidelines are used in your county program.

Online Volunteer Reporting System (VRS) (in English)

Most Master Gardener volunteers use the VRS system for reporting their volunteer hours. For volunteers in the Portland Metro region, please contact your local MG coordinator for reporting your hours.

This monthly zoom series offers education for the experienced gardener led by OSU horticulture experts from across the state. Take your gardening knowledge to the next level with timely topics from gardening in a changing climate to techniques to extend your season.

10-Minute University: Short classes on essential gardening information (in English)

Explore over 75 handouts and instructional videos on topics including general gardening, climate resiliency, berries, fruit trees, raised beds, ornamental plants, soil, edibles, insects and pests, lawns, trees, irrigation, pruning and tools, native plants and guest lectures. Developed by Clackamas County Master Gardeners, these easy-to-understand resources are all a part of the award-winning 10-Minute University program.

Solve Pest Problems (in English)

Learn research-based, safe, and effective tactics for common garden and property pests and weeds. We provide non-chemical methods alongside the most effective and least toxic chemical options available, to reduce risk to people and the environment. Solve Pest Problems is a partnership between OSU and Oregon stakeholders to provide a user-friendly online resource to help urban and rural property managers to solve pest problems.
