Awards & Recognition

We believe in celebrating the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our members and volunteers. The 4-H Awards program is designed to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to their communities, demonstrated exceptional skills, and embodied the spirit of 4-H.

About the 4-H Awards

4-H Awards honor individuals and clubs who have gone above and beyond in their 4-H projects, community service, leadership roles, and more. These awards are a testament to the commitment and excellence that are the cornerstones of the 4-H experience. Each year, we present a range of awards to highlight achievements across various categories, including:

  • 4-H County Medals: Recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of Intermediate and Senior members in a particular project area.
  • Club Community Service Award: Honors the outstanding efforts of 4-H club members and volunteers who work together to improve their community by responding to its needs.
  • 4-H Leader of the Year Award: Acknowledges a current 4-H Volunteer's contributions and impact on youth in the 4-H program, their club, and/or community.
  • Friend of 4-H Award: Celebrates the significant support provided by a business, community organization, or agency/industry to the local 4-H program.

Apply for an Award

We invite all 4-H members and volunteers to submit applications for the awards. Whether you have a project that deserves recognition, a leadership story to share, or a volunteer/business who has made a difference, we want to hear from you!

How to Apply

  1. Review Award Categories: Check out the different award categories to determine which best fits your achievements or the achievements of someone you know.

  2. Prepare Your Application/Nomination: Gather all necessary information, including details about the project or service, personal contributions, and any supporting documentation.
